Here’s globalist Gingrich trying to strike a tough pose, Trump-style, and of course playing into the left’s hands:
“Let me be as blunt and direct as I can be. Western civilization is in a war. We should frankly test every person here who is of a Muslim background, and if they believe in Sharia, they should be deported,” Gingrich said in an interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity.
It may sound tough on the surface, and of course to the left it’s as a red rag to a bull, but if you look at what he is saying it is politically safe, if not PC. Does any informed rightist think that asking Moslems if they support sharia will draw honest answers?
I’ve read so many Republican comments about Gingrich’s ”brilliant mind”, his supposed intellectual prowess, but I can only conclude that he has never heard of words like taqqiya and kitman.
And Gingrich’s next sentence betrays his real stance, which is PC to the core:
“Sharia is incompatible with Western civilization. Modern Muslims who have given up Sharia, glad to have them as citizens. Perfectly happy to have them next door.”
Great, Newt. Now put your money where your mouth is and move to Dearborn, Michigan.
I think the San Bernardino Mr.-and-Mrs. Jihadists would have passed your test, and appeared as people you would think to be acceptable neighbors. They had well-paying jobs; mixed with their infidel co-workers, and blended right in. Until they opened fire.
Meanwhile, Mike Pence tweets his thoughts about the attack in Nice, France.
He doesn’t name any names; he mentions ‘all those responsible.’ This is a carefully-crafted, purposely vague statement.
And his past statements were rather different. For example:
God save us from politicians.

Gingrich and Pence are cut from the same cloth. That Trump considered one and chose the other as VP speaks extremely poorly of him. I sent money to Trump during the primaries, and hoped (against all experience) he meant what he said about his policies. Now I’ll sit back and watch. He can win Texas without my vote. I’m sure all the Cruzbots and Churchians and cucks will more than make up for my remaining at home.

I have to say I am disappointed and now wary of Trump’s intentions. Inevitably people will say that I am being ‘purist’ or expecting perfection — you know all the phrases, like “don’t let the perfect become the enemy of the good enough” or ”politics is the art of compromise.”
Still, one can compromise away all one’s principles, so then what’s the point of ‘winning’ an election in that case?
The answer I get when I ask myself this is that the alternative is that much worse.
Still, depending on what happens between now and November I may or may not sit out the election.

Pence is the same guy who proposed some type of ‘touchback’ solution the ‘broken’ immigration system about 2006 or so . That Trump’s serious contenders were Gingrich and of course Pence is disconcerting to say the least. We will see…

Yes, I remember Pence’s role in that amnesty plan back in 2006-7 or whenever, and he seems to vacillate and waffle, just bending with the wind, no fixed principles. Not a good sign in my opinion, though it seems that most of the mainstream ‘conservatives’ are fine with Pence, and even some on the alt-right who are normally tough on immigration and trade issues say they are OK with Pence, or even think he was the best choice. I can’t figure that one out.
And yes, the arrests in Europe are very troubling. I know that the same kind of thing has happened in the Netherlands, with people at least being visited by the police and ‘warned’ that they have to stop criticizing the sacred immigrants or Islam. Very distressing. I wonder how long before it begins here. I can only hope we don’t lose what freedom of speech we have.

So what he’s saying is that if they give up their culture and their religion (as we in the West have done) then he approves of them. That’s incredibly condescending and insulting. I personally want Muslims to keep and to cherish their culture and their religion. I just want them to do so in their own countries. As Steve Sailer keeps saying, that’s what separate countries are for.
I don’t want the whole world turned into a grey homogenised blob. I want to see lots of different cultures and religions thriving, all in their own countries.
